Catholics Returning Home

Welcome to Catholics Returning Home, a place where one experiences the love and mercy of Jesus Christ. A place to be restored into the sacramental life of the Catholic church, no matter how long one has been away or for whatever reason.

Come, renew your relationship with Jesus Christ and the Catholic Church. Know that God is not distant but holds you deeply in the newness of His love. For as Jesus says in scripture, “Come to me, all you who labor and are burdened, and I will give you rest… for I am meek and humble of heart; and you will find rest for yourselves.”  Matthew 11: 28-29

The community of Saint Rita parish welcomes you back home. We host a program called Catholics Returning Home,an open invitation for people who have been inactive in the Catholic faith for many years, decades, to reconnect with the church.

In Catholics Returning Home
you have the space (1) to discern “What is God calling me to do?”; (2) to vent your concerns, hesitations, frustrations; (3) to rediscover Catholicism anew; (4) and, to restore your spiritual life in the sacraments.

  • You can expect to meet people on a similar spiritual journey.

  • You can expect a warm, welcoming environment.

  • Sessions run less than 90 minutes.

  • Sessions are facilitated by lay parishioners.

It’s not necessary to attend all five sessions, but we do highly recommend attending Session 1. There is no pressure, no follow-up, no registration. Come as you are. Bring a friend.
